Employed!
A few days ago I was presented with quite a dilemma.
On one hand I had been pursuing a web position with a bridal magazine in Florida for quite some time. They offered me a third and final interview, and I was informed that there were only two people left in the running. I was nervous because I am well aware that I don’t have much experience in the industry, and I am certainly no wedding expert (though my Pinterest account thinks otherwise). However, I was 100% committed to driving to West Palm Beach to feel things out.
Then out of the blue a national women’s health & fitness magazine offered me a chance to interview for a freelance fashion assistant position. Key word: freelance. At first I jumped at the opportunity. The thought of being back in New York City made me giddy, but I eventually talked myself out of it.
How would I afford anything on $9 an hour? Where would I live? How would I live? Why would I want to live like that?
For once I am not pursuing any wild and crazy dreams. I am pursuing realistic (and just as amazing) dreams. The reality is that I was offered a full-time position with the bridal magazine. With a bigger salary than I would’ve ever been able to find in New York and a comfortable lifestyle to boot.
I have absolutely no complaints. I believe in fate more than ever, and fate has dealt me quite a beautiful hand.

I finally have a clean and functional kitchen (AKA no rats), so I’ve been on a cooking spree. I woke up at 7 a.m. on Mother’s Day to whip up some pink pancakes for the fam.
As you can see, I get it from my momma!

Let me know when you arrive! I live in West Palm!
